Grüne Woche in Berlin
The Grüne Woche, formerly known as International Green Week (IGW), is a forum on agri-food policy issues dealing with the topics of nutrition, agriculture and horticulture. The trade fair, which was founded in 1926, traditionally takes place every January in Berlin. The Green Week is accompanied by an extensive complementary programme. Highlights include the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture and the Future Forum for Rural Development.

The BMEL’s stand in Hall 23a has traditionally been part of the Grüne Woche and is highly popular with visitors every year. The BMEL presents the Ministry’s political priorities, current topics and research innovations in a citizen-oriented and interactive manner.
The BMEL’s stand serves as an important meeting place for industry experts, both nationally and internationally. At the same time, it is a renowned platform for political national and international dialogue, with active participation by the BMEL leadership.
