Statement on accessibility

The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) makes every effort to make its website www.bmel.de e-accessible in accordance with national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

This website was redesigned and revised in late April 2020. The new website will be submitted to a BITV (Ordinance on Accessible Information Technology) test soon and the test result will be published at this juncture.

Not all of the documents offered for downloading are fully accessible. Many documents are old documents where the initial document is no longer available. These documents will not be post-edited. We have set ourselves the goal of in future offering accessible PDF files as far as is possible and expedient, or to provide content in HTML format. You can see whether a document is already accessible by reading the corresponding description text. Files that have not yet been converted are marked as "not fully accessible", accessible/partially accessible files as "accessible".

Should you require content from older documents in a form accessible to you, please contact us using this contact form. We will try to make the content available to you by other means to the extent possible.
