National Strategy on Genetic Resources for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries

With this strategy, the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) outlines ways and measures to contribute to resilient, sustainable and circular production of food and raw materials with a broad diversity of genetic resources. The strategy shows that we need a sufficiently large gene pool of genetic resources: A “Pool of Options” of traits that may be essential in the future in order to adapt to various crises.
