African Swine Fever (ASF): information on cases in Germany (topic:animal-diseases)

In Germany, cases of African Swine Fever occurred in Brandenburg and Saxony. A first case of the animal disease, which is harmless to humans, was confirmed in the rural district of Spree-Neiße in September 2020. This was followed by further cases in Brandenburg and Saxony. In July 2021, the first case of African Swine Fever (ASF) in domestic pigs was officially confirmed in Brandenburg.
